The Sky Bet Championship possesses some fine footballers and it is not just the Premier League that can boast tremendous talents.

Leicester City might win the Premier League during this season yet their team includes former Championship regulars such as Kasper Schmeichel, Wes Morgan and Jamie Vardy, which makes for a great advert for football in the second tier.

Some of the talented players in the division are yet to become regular performers for their respective teams but are still destined for good careers in the game.

The Championship is a real hot bed of talent at the moment and it seems as though an exciting couple of years could be ahead for certain clubs, who possess such promising players.

Football League World writer Lee Clarke decided to take a look at the FIVE best Sky Bet Championship players who are under the age of 21.......

Oliver Burke

The young Nottingham Forest winger is one of the bright prospects of the future currently plying his trade in the Sky Bet Championship.

The 19-year-old has already been attracting interest from Premier League giants Arsenal and how much longer Forest can keep hold of such a talent remains to be seen.

Burke has pace to burn and is versatile to the point where he can play on either flank or up front.

Still relatively raw, Burke is still searching for consistency but a regular run in the Forest team during the 2016/17 campaign will go a long way to aid his development.

Lewis Cook

The central midfielder has come of age this season for Leeds United and his performances have seen Premier League interest surface.

The Whites will face a real fight during the summer to keep hold of the 19-year-old, with Bournemouth among the clubs who rate the player highly.

Cook has been a mainstay in the Leeds team this season and the club’s coaching staff are running out of superlatives for the youngster, who has produced some fine performances during the current campaign.

The York-born player has been capped nine times by England at Under-19 level and if he continues to develop, Cook looks set for recognition with the seniors at some point during his career.

Moussa Dembele

The French forward has been in sparkling form for Fulham this season and his form has been a highlight during a particularly poor season for the Cottagers.

A failed move to Tottenham Hotspur was music to Fulham’s ears back during the January transfer window and had the club lost Dembele to Spurs, they could have been staring a drop into League One right in the face.

His 17-goal haul has seen the Cottagers secure Championship survival with two games to spare, with it looking highly unlikely that he will be at Craven Cottage next season amid further Premier League interest.

Farrend Rawson

The Derby County defender has come of age during a season-long loan spell at Rotherham United and he has played 16 times for the club.

The 19-year-old was actually born in Nottingham but was taken on by the Rams in a youth capacity, with the coaching staff expecting big things from the tough-tackling defender.

Although he is rated highly by the Rams, it remains to be seen whether the club will have enough confidence to include him in and around the first-team next season, or whether they choose to loan him out again.

Philip Billing

The Huddersfield Town youth academy is one of the most highly-rated in the country, with their Under-21’s winning their league during the current campaign.

Billing is a product of the glittering academy and is graduation to the first-team has been just rewards for his efforts with the development squads.

The Danish youngster has made 13 appearances for the first-team this season and has performed admirably in the Huddersfield Town midfield.

His one goal during the campaign was a corker too, a 30-yard thunderbolt that put the seal on a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest back in February.

Tipped for big things next season, Billing will hope to kick on and become a more frequent performer for the Terriers.
