Leeds have made some pretty catastrophic signings over the years, and January has often been the month of many of those.

Given the managerial turmoil of recent years, it is no surprise that Leeds have made a lot of ‘panic signings’ that have failed to settle into their new surroundings at Elland Road quickly enough.

Many players have been and gone, some you think: ‘who are they?’ and others you question ‘I don’t remember them at Leeds?’

A large proportion of Leeds signings have been fleeting, some have been excellent, but unfortunately, more than half have been failures.

Here, we look at the FOUR worst Leeds January signings we’ve seen.

Do you agree, or can you think of worse additions that they have made in the month of January that have failed to improve the team? Let us know in the comments section below.

Here they are...

Steve Morison

Morison arrived at Leeds as part of a swap deal with Luciano Becchio, which went down badly amongst supporters.

The veteran forward never replicated what the Argentine did at Leeds and was mocked by many.

An awful January move.

Laurens De Bock

Belgian full-back Laurens De Bock joined Leeds on a four-and-a-half-year contract in January 2018, and was expected to make the left-back spot his own, after a positive five-year spell and Champions League experience with Club Brugge.

He failed, however, and lost his spot to the young Tom Pearce.

Mustapha Carayol

Mustapha Carayol has been around a bit in his 12-year career in England, but has only made over 50 appearances for one club - Torquay United. That is telling of Carayol who, promised so much and shows rare glimpses of his talent, but can't produce on a consistent basis.

Leeds was one of many loan destinations for Carayol, but the Gambian managed just 12 appearances. He briefly excited fans at the City Ground, before moving to Ipswich where he flopped, again. He is now at Apollon Limassol.

Habib Habibou

Habibou arrived at Leeds in January 2013 with a reputation of throwing ducks and that's the same reputation he left with.

The forward made little impact at Elland Road and wasn't good enough to get into a Neil Warnock side.
