It has been another exciting season down at the New York Stadium for Rotherham United, following two successive promotions and survival from relegation last season.

Steve Evans has left, Neil Redfearn has been and gone, and Neil Warnock is now in the hot seat and managing to get the results which look like they are going to be enough to keep the club up once more.

It certainly is non stop for Millers fans, who may well disagree with the tag of it being 'exciting', but, for the neutral, it really is compelling viewing.

With Rotherham set to beat the drop, it leaves some wondering just why they are down where they are and what might have gone wrong earlier in the season.

There has certainly been a few moments which have let the fans down and club as a whole, and I have tried to identify these here.

So, here are THREE of the worst moments in Rotherham's season so far......

Ipswich 5-2 Rotherham United

The big home reverse against Mick McCarthy's Tractor Boys was a sobering moment for the Millers this season, as the 5-2 home reverse was one of the worst performances in recent memory.

A shocking performance from previously decent midfielder Paul Green and a leaky defence contributed massively to the result, and it seemed like the Millers were going to be cut well adrift after this game.

It left Rotherham rock bottom, and 5 points off survival, with only 9 points taken from their opening 16 games.

A nightmare game in general for the Millers, who saw themselves surrender a lead, lose a key player, and implode as a team all in the same game.

Leading through Andreu's first half goal, the Millers lost Lee Frecklington to injury, where he would be out for months, only just returning towards the end of February.

An Eoin Doyle equaliser put Rotherham on the back foot, before Johnson Clarke-Harris, a late substitute brought on my Neil Redfearn, turned the ball into his own goal to complete the comeback for North End.

It was a bitter blow for the Millers, and many fans could not believe what they had just seen at Deepdale.

Greg Halford's early season behaviour

Although he is in the team now and performing admirably. Halford had a shocking start to the season.

Twice stripped of the captaincy, and dropped from the first team, there was a real divide between Halford and the fans before Christmas.

Numerous Twitter rants did not help either, with Halford making a series of sly remarks and accusations towards everything related to the club.

It was a terrible time to be a Miller, with the club struggling at the foot of the table and one of the top earners sat doing nothing. Fans can be grateful for Neil Warnock in getting Halford on board, and he has indeed proved his worth over the last few months.
