The pre-season promotion favourites have had a terrible start back to life in the Championship, picking up just 13 points from the opening 11.

Gary Rowett’s men were expected to ‘walk the league’ and many outsiders speculated that Stoke’s side was the best Championship team ever, on paper.

It has not come to fruition for Stoke so far, but things are starting to look up.

The midweek win over Bolton came with a pleasing performance and a clean sheet, which will delight Rowett, who has seen his side ship 18 goals thus far this season.

Next up for the Potters is a trip to East Anglia where Norwich await, who are in a super bane of form after winning four of their last five, as well as a draw at Derby on Wednesday.

Daniel Farke’s side will be a tough game for Stoke, so Gary Rowett will have a few selection headaches ahead of the long journey.

Here at FLW, we have a look at the THREE Stoke XI dilemmas that Rowett may have…

No. Simply.

The Spanish footballer has returned to the fray at Stoke in recent weeks and has been a joy to watch. Until the midweek win over Bolton, Bojan had managed just one league start all season, but he was one of the best players on the pitch in the game with the Trotters.

Should Rowett want another win, Bojan’s creativity will be vital.

In the last two or three games, Rowett has altered his formation slightly, playing Saido Berahino and Tom Ince as inverted forwards, with James McLean suffering by falling to the bench.

In a tricky away fixture, Stoke may fancy the tenacity of James McClean so it would be unsurprising to see him come back into the side.

Game time has been scarce for summer signing Ryan Woods, with the experienced head of Darren Fletcher often preferred in the anchor role in midfield.

Rowett has an interesting headache ahead of the Norwich clash: does he stick with Woods who was excellent in the Bolton win, or revert back to Darren Fletcher who adds needed experience in the middle?
