Sheffield United have had a yo-yo period over the last ten or fifteen years, floating between three divisions, so a lot of players have come and gone.

Upon relegation from the Premier League, Blades had to rethink their strategy and let a lot of top players go, so the recruitment saw a lot of players join the club for short periods.

Needless to say, some players joined and were forgotten in the annals of Bramall Lane history.

Some players that have played have etched their name in the clubs records forever, such as Billy Sharp, but others have come and gone in a flash.

Some of these will be forgotten because they were awful signings that flopped, but some were short-but-sweet spells that will be looked back on fondly.

Here, we look at the three Sheffield United players you are likely to forget ever played at Bramall Lane.

Do you agree, or can you remember someone else that we’ve missed? Let us know in the comments below.

Having had a 3-year career at Sheffield United, one would imagine that James Wallace had a glittering time.

It wasn’t the case – he actually made just 14 appearances, and injuries plagued his time, making it truly forgetful.

Jon Stead is one of those players who has seemingly played everywhere. One of those clubs happens to be Sheffield United, where he was part of the team that was relegated from the Premier League.

His time wasn’t awful, with him scoring 9 goals that season, but it was certainly forgetful.

Colin Kazim-Richards made his name in English football with Brighton and Hove Albion, who at the time were in monetary problems at the Withdean Stadium, so had to sell him.

Sheffield United were the suitors, but he only stayed for a season, using it as a springboard to get a big move to Fenerbahce, where he stayed for 4 seasons, before eventually moving to their arch enemies Galatasaray.
