Queens Park Rangers’ inconsistent start to the season continued with a 1-0 win over strugglers Reading on Tuesday night.

It was a game of very little quality as the R’s clinched their fourth win of the campaign, a result which takes them up to 17th in the league table after eleven league outings.

Steve McClaren’s men seem to be back on track after enduring a miserable start to the season, however, after four wins from their previous seven league games, they will be hoping for another win on Saturday afternoon against another inconsistent side in Derby County.

After a solid, professional performance on Tuesday night, McClaren is bound to have a selection headache ahead of the clash at Loftus Road with Frank Lampard’s men.

Here, we take a look at three dilemmas McClaren may have ahead of picking his XI to face Derby on Saturday.

After coming off the bench to replace fellow striker Nahki Wells, Tomer Hemed was a real nuisance on Tuesday night, and it begs the question whether the duo should start together on Saturday.

The R’s normally operate within a 4-4-1-1 system, however with both players hungry to add to their goalscoring tally, maybe they should both start on Saturday.

Ebere Eze’s form this season has alerted the likes of Premier League clubs, with the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur all reportedly vying for his signature.

But in order to accommodate for two strikers, will Eze be put back onto the right wing, or will he stay in his favoured number 10 role?

Cousins has been an unpopular figure of late at Loftus Road, blasted for his lacklustre performances as well as his sending off against Blackpool in the Carabao Cup.

But he put in a decent performance against Reading, and it’ll be interesting to see whether the former Charlton man starts once more on Saturday.
