There is a new man at the helm for Queens Park Rangers ahead of next season.

The Hoops are set for a new era after owner Tony Fernandes decided to part ways with Ian Holloway and take a gamble by appointing Steve McClaren.

With a new manager comes a new approach and we are yet to see whether certain players are favoured by him.

Before long, it will be time to report back for pre-season and a number of players in the squad are going to need to impress to make an impression on the new manager.

A few QPR men have uncertain futures for various reasons, whether that be because bigger teams are chasing them, because they have been under-performing or because Holloway froze them out.

McClaren is likely to give all players a fresh chance to impress in pre-season but here are three who are walking a tightrope at the moment.

When QPR snapped Wheeler up from Exeter City last summer, it was seen as a bit of a coup.

But the 27-year-old winger only played seven games (scoring once) and deserves a move away if McClaren is also not going to play him.

Another player who Holloway did not favour was Goss, who had to move to Rangers in January on loan to get some game time.

The former Manchester United midfielder will be hoping McClaren sees something in him that Holloway didn't, otherwise it could be another move on the cards for him.

Striker Washington has not had the most successful stint at QPR, scoring just 14 goals in two-and-a-half years with the club.

The Northern Ireland international, 26, would be a decent signing for a League One club this summer.
