Norwich had a disappointing Premier League campaign being relegated with 34 points with fans unhappy with the lack of investment in the first team.

They brought in 2 loan stars in with Dieumurci Mbokani and Patrick Bamford arriving with the former ending up their top scorer with 10 goals but the latter Bamford, failed miserably, failing to score a single goal.

Their defence was poor as well with bad tactics by Alex Neil leading to Russel Martin and Sebastian Bassong struggling and there was a lack of depth.

Norwich though are confident of an immediate return and they have plenty of experience with them retaining a lot of players which won promotion a couple of seasons ago like Jerome and Whittaker and they will be confident in their squad strength.

Nathan Redmond and Jonny Howson were their most impressive players attracting Premier League interest but here are their 3 most underrated players:

Robbie Brady

The Irish midfielder was one of the best players for Norwich last season scoring 3 goals and getting 2 assists, being the catalyst for much attacking play.

He injects positivity into the side and gets attacks going and is very experienced at this level with Hull City and will be valuable for Norwich next season. He also scored the winning goal for the Republic of Ireland against Italy to secure their progression to the last 16.

Given that he was bought for £7 million and Norwich won't take a loss he should be playing in the Championship and his technical power, pace and raw skill will trouble defences.

Jonny Howson

The work of Howson in midfield often goes unnoticed by neutrals but Norwich fans know he has been their best player this season.

All the strikers have been very poor with only Mbokani reaching double figures and loan star Patrick Bamford failing to get off the mark. Howson scored 3 goals and got 4 assists from central midfield and he was one of the few bright sparks in the side.

His form has attracted Premier League interest and he was voted as Norwich Player of the Year. He was vital to Norwich in their promotion winning season scoring 8 goals making him one of the best midfielders in the Championship and Norwich could do with him replicating that form.

Timm Klose

Timm Klose

The 28 year old centre back stands at nearly 2 metres tall and has been a vast improvement at the back for Norwich compared to what they had.

The defence at Norwich was a shambles all season conceding 67 goals with Bassong and Turner absolutely awful at the back. Fans have been happy to see Klose burst into the team and his excellent form nearly kept Norwich up and some are calling for him to be club captain next season though there will be Premier League interest.

Only injury kept him out the Swiss Euro 2016 side but he will be fit to lead Norwich back to the Premier League next season.
