Sheffield United enjoyed a steady first year back in the Sky Bet Championship, with Chris wilder guiding the Blades to 10th.

Wilder’s side were in play-off contention for much of the season, but a disappointing final third of the season left them in 10th and adrift of the top-six.

The start of the summer brought some speculation surrounding Wilder’s future at Bramall Lane, however, the 50-year-old has committed himself to the Blades, by this week agreeing a 12-month extension on his existing deal.

Wilder has settled differences with the co-owners at Bramall Lane and can now focus on the summer transfer window.

Sheffield United’s squad did well last season, but if they want to improve, additions are going to have to be made.

One of 2017/18’s most consistent performers was Jamal Blackman, who arrived on-loan from Chelsea.

With a potential partnership between the two clubs blossoming, we take a look at THREE Chelsea players Wilder should look to bring in this summer…

Ampadu is highly-rated at Stamford Bridge, with the 17-year-old having a big future ahead of him.

The ex-Exeter City teenager can play in central defence or midfield and would be a good addition to fit Wilder’s 3-5-2 formation.

Comfortable on the ball and versatile, Ampadu would be a good loan addition.

Loan spells with Huddersfield and Derby in the Championship have been impressive for Palmer.

The forward would undoubtedly improve Wilder's option in attack, with the Chelsea man sure to bring a different dimension at Bramall Lane.

Palmer might not fit directly into Wilder's system, but he has the quality to adapt.

Abraham spent time on-loan in the Championship with Bristol City, where he really impressed.

A spell with Swansea in the Premier League wasn’t as prolific and the striker looks like he could do with another year in the second-tier, as he continues to progress.

The 20-year-old’s signature would be difficult to get, but it's certainly worth the Blades asking the question.
