Sheffield United enjoyed a steady first year back in the Sky Bet Championship, with Chris wilder guiding the Blades to 10th.
Wilder’s side were in play-off contention for much of the season, but a disappointing final third of the season left them in 10th and adrift of the top-six.
The start of the summer brought some speculation surrounding Wilder’s future at Bramall Lane, however, the 50-year-old has committed himself to the Blades, by this week agreeing a 12-month extension on his existing deal.
Wilder has settled differences with the co-owners at Bramall Lane and can now focus on the summer transfer window.
Sheffield United’s squad did well last season, but if they want to improve, additions are going to have to be made.
One of 2017/18’s most consistent performers was Jamal Blackman, who arrived on-loan from Chelsea.
