Brentford have had a solid start to the season under Dean Smith and currently find themselves sitting in 8th place, after earning 3 wins from the first 7 league games.

Brentford will be looking to improve on last year's finish and will be optimistic of reaching the play-offs this time around.

Their last league result came on the 14th September when they held Aston Villa to a 1-1 draw at Villa Park, Villa took the lead through multi-million pound man Jonathan Kodija only to be pegged back on the 88th minute after a goal from Brentford man John Egan.

Andre Gray

Andre Gray was only with the club for one season, but during that season he excelled and scored 18 times in 47 appearances and put himself on the footballing map.

Despite only being at the club for one season, it is clear that when looking with your business head that Andre Gray is in fact one of Brentford's best signings from the past 5 years.

His good form led to him attracting admiring glances from other teams and he eventually signed for fellow Championship side Burnley in 2015 for a fee reported to be £9 million, meaning the club benefited from making a huge profit on the player and were able to reinvest that money into the squad.

Throughout his time with Brentford he demonstrated all the attributes which have led to him becoming a Premier League striker.

Gray has proved that he can consistently score goals at Championship level and will be eager to show he has what it takes to make the step up.

Alan Judge

Alan Judge has been a key player for The Bees since he signed permanently in 2014 from Blackburn Rovers, he initially joined on a loan deal and after making 22 appearances throughout that loan spell, scoring 7 goals and consistently impressing, the club decided to make it a permanent transfer.

Judge had a fantastic campaign last season where he scored 14 goals in 39 appearances and went onto pick up both the players player, and supporters player of the year awards at the end of season awards at the club.

To top off his fantastic season he was also named in the Football League Championship PFA Team of the Year.

Harlee Dean

Club captain Harlee Dean signed for the club back in 2012 and has gone onto make close to 200 league appearances for the club and has become a huge fans favourite at the club, he is now seen as an indispensable member of the squad and a key figure in The Bees' defence.

Dean signed for the club from Southampton, for whom he failed to make an appearance, and has since developed into an accomplished Championship centre back and at the age of only 25 he has plenty of years ahead of him to improve and develop his game further.

Brentford fans will be hopeful they can fight off any interest other clubs may have in their star man over the next few years, in the hope they can continue to watch him grow and develop as player.
