Aston Villa face an uncertain summer ahead due to their current financial troubles.
The financial crisis at the club has already had a major impact on the club’s summer transfer plans, preventing them from signing loan stars Robert Snodgrass and Sam Johnstone, as well as leading to the departure of veteran defender John Terry.
With out-of-contract defender Alan Hutton having his new deal talks shelved and a number of players being put up for sale to raise some much-needed cash, Villa’s team could look very different next season.
Unless they make a lot of money from sales, the majority of the Villan’s summer spending will be limited to free transfers, loan deals and bargains.
They will need a number of cheap players to pad out the squad if there are a lot of departures.
So, as well as loan swoops and free agents, here are three bargain purchases that Aston Villa should look to secure.
