It's been a poor season for Norwich City down at Carrow Road who will be hoping to push for the Premier League next time around.

The Canaries have missed out on the play-offs this season and a mid-table finish means their season has been a bit of a let down. They sacked manager Alex Neil halfway through the campaign after a horrendous run of form and despite Alan Irvine's best efforts, they've not been able to pick it up to a good enough level to compete again.

But the summer represents a really important time for the Canaries, who need to ensure they bring in the right names to ensure they have a good enough squad to go again next season.

And one man we think would be a superb addition to their squad over the coming months is Sunderland defender Jason Denayer, who is rated at around £3.4million.

But his contract at the Stadium of Light is up at the end of this season and he's a player that might be on the move after Sunderland's relegation back to the second-tier.

And we think he's the sort of player Norwich City should look to pick up, especially considering they've released Bennett and Bassong. They're going to need some centre-back options to ensure their squad is big enough to roll with the best at the top-of-the table next season and Denayer fits the bill perfectly.

The former Manchester City youngster is yet to really settle somewhere but with his quality and potential going forward, he might make an excellent addition to the squad.
