Leeds United are in a great position as they look to make a return to the Premier League, with Marcelo Bielsa's side currently second in the league.

However, no matter what happens between now and May, it's sure to be a very busy summer at Elland Road.

And, it appears that the Whites have already started making plans on that front, with Football Insider claiming that Reading midfielder John Swift is a target for the Yorkshire outfit.

The report states that Leeds will consider a deal for the 23-year-old regardless of what division they are in next season.

Whilst Swift may be enjoying his time with the Royals, the reality is that he would surely jump at the chance to make the switch.

Firstly, if they win promotion then it really does become a no-brainer as every player will want to test themselves at the highest level.

Yet, this move would also appeal because he is exactly the sort of player that should thrive in this current Leeds setup.

Bielsa has transformed the side since his appointment, encouraging a stylish brand of football that suits technically sound players - like Swift.

He will see the improvement made by some of the current squad under the Argentinian and will see him as the ideal man to take his game to the next level.

Obviously, you have to take transfer rumours with a pinch of salt but if this does prove to be genuine then you can be sure that Swift will be doing all he can to ensure he ends up at Elland Road.
