Sheffield Wednesday have been part of the chasing pack all season in the Championship but a recent poor run of form has seen Carlos Carvalhal's side slip away from the real frontrunners in the table.

A draw and three defeats in their last four games represent a real loss of form- something that has been of great concern to Owls fans as the likes of Fulham, Preston and Norwich gradually pick up pace behind them in the table.

And with just a handful of games to go, it's absolutely imperative that Wednesday pick up as many points as they can in the coming weeks to put some real distance between them and their rivals going forward.

But despite what happens at the end of the season, thought will soon turn to Wednesday's need to conduct some real transfer business this summer and one man that we think would do a cracking job for the Owls, for the second time in his career, is Southampton forward Lloyd Isgrove.

Rated at around £213,000, the Welsh international has already spent time at Hillsborough during the 2014-2015 season but since then, it's clear he's developed as a player and remains another player in Southampton's academy that has been tipped for extremely bright things indeed.

A tricky, pacy customer, Isgrove can play almost anywhere across the forward line and will be looking to get some real regular game-time under his belt in the coming months. The marquee signing of Manolo Gabbiadini has arguably pushed back his progress going forward but a move down into the Championship next season (if Wednesday remain there) would be a transfer that suits both sides extremely well indeed.

Isgrove has often been tipped for big things, but now aged 24, he needs to start making some headway at a decent level, or face the risk of becoming just another player who couldn't cut it in the top division.
