Wolves are known to have an impressive academy system, with their current youth teams no exception.

The Wolves under-23 squad narrowly missed out on promotion, after losing their play-off semi-final due to a penalty controversy against West Ham.

Many players who played in that game will be wanting to be involved with the first team during pre-season, so they can impress the Wolves staff and push for a first-team spot next campaign.

Furthermore, with current boss Paul Lambert seemingly looking set to depart Wolves, all current Wolves players will have work even harder in pre-season in attempt to impress whoever the new manager may be.

As hard as will have to work, the youngsters will have a clean sleet and should have even more hunger to impress their new boss and advance into the first team.
