Aston Villa are the form team in the Championship at this moment in time and there seems to be little stopping Dean Smith's side heading towards the conclusion of this season.

The Villans made it seven consecutive wins as they came from behind with ten men to beat relegation-threatened, Rotherham United in midweek.

Goals from Jonathan Kodjia and Jack Grealish proved to be enough for Dean Smith's side as they continued their impressive run of form.

The result saw Villa remain 5th in the Championship table and they'll certainly be one of the most feared teams to come up against, that's for sure.

Grealish in particular has been a standout performer for Smith's side since he made his return from a lengthy injury lay-off in 2018.

There are sure to be changes to the Villa boss' starting XI though, as they come up against play-off chasing Bristol City at the weekend.

But what tweaks could the Villa boss be tempted to make for this one?

Find out below....

Kodjia to replace El Ghazi

Kodjis stepped off of the substitutes bench and wasted no time in making an instant impact as he netted the equaliser against Rotherham in midweek.

The Ivorian certainly staked a strong claim for a starting spot against Bristol City, and Dean Smith could be tempted to bring him in ahead of Anwar El Ghazi who struggled to make an impact against the Millers.

Whelan in for Hourihane

Whelan came on as an injury-time substitute in the win over Rotherham, but could be in line for a return to the starting XI for this one.

The Irishman offers the ideal cover to the Villa defence, which could be in for a busy day against a Bristol City side that have been impressive going forward in recent weeks.
