Leeds United have very little to play for for the remainder of the season after a dreadful recent run of results ended any outside chances they had of making the top six.

Therefore, manager Paul Heckingbottom is already planning for next season and will surely be expecting a busy summer to improve the squad.

However, Leeds may also have to stand firm when it comes to stopping players leaving.

The club lost top scorer Chris Wood in August and despite receiving a significant fee, the Whites failed to suitably replace the New Zealand international.

Whilst Leeds have underperformed on the whole this season, they still have a few players who will have admirers in the top-flight.

Here we look at two players fans will fear losing in the summer...

The Spaniard has lost his way in the second half of the season but there's no denying he has real quality and could easily handle the step up.

Saiz has genuine quality in the number 10 role, capable of beating players with his dribbling and speed, whilst also having the vision and technique to feed killer passes.

His discipline issues may be a problem to some, but there's no doubt he has the magic to help a lot of sides towards the bottom of the top-flight.

Firstly, you would have to say any Premier League club interested would need to get the Jansson of last season back.

He has struggled, like most, this campaign but he is still a top defender at this level.

The Sweden international is aggressive, powerful and a real leader. His partnership with Kyle Bartley last season was crucial to Leeds' success and he may benefit from playing alongside better players.

It's crucial that Leeds hold onto 27-year old and find him a quality partner but it could be a testing summer.
