After agreeing a one-year deal to remain Birmingham City manager after reassurance from the club's owners that there will be money to be spend, Harry Redknapp will be looking ahead to the summer to add to his squad ahead of the 2017/2018 season.

After been asked to take control of the first team for the final three games of the season, Redknapp managed to guide Birmingham to Championship safety.

The former Spurs boss will be looking to ensure drastic improvements are made to the squad, to make sure the Blues finish much higher up the league table next season.

One of the biggest problems Birmingham had throughout the current campaign was that they failed to score enough goals, finding the net on just 45 occasions.

With that in mind here are TWO players that the Midlands outfit should look to snap up to help fire them up table....

Peter Crouch

The current Stoke City striker is no stranger to Redknapp having worked with him at Portsmouth, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur, and having tallied up an impressive 137 goals throughout his club career it's clear that Crouch knows where the goal is.

The 6ft 7 striker would provide a focal point for the team, and with his height would cause an aerial threat from set pieces and open play alike.

The Cheshire born striker has also fallen down the pecking order at Stoke coming of the substitutes bench on 13 occasions this season, so could favour a move to St. Andrews to play regular first team football.

Josh Morris

The Scunthorpe United player has been in impressive form this season, scoring 18 goals and providing nine assists to fire the Irons into the League One play-off places.

If the midfielder can replicate that form in the Championship then he would sure be a massive hit with the Blues supporters, and after Scunthorpe missed out on promotion, Morris may want to test himself in a higher division.
