It's been a fantastic start to the season for Leeds United and Marcelo Bielsa's men look capable of seriously pushing for promotion.

However, Whites fans will feel like they've seen it all before.

Leeds have fallen away regularly over the years despite starting well and with Bielsa's intense training said to tire his sides out over a season, it's a natural worry.

Therefore, the January window could be crucial if they are to keep pace with the top teams as new faces will be needed.

Providing Leeds are still up there by the New Year, which you'd imagine they will be, then they will be a hugely attractive option to players.

With their support, potential and the fact you will be playing under Bielsa, many will be keen on joining.

Here we look at TWO Premier League outcasts that the club should be looking to bring to Elland Road...

The experienced midfielder has fallen out of favour and at 33-years-old he will want to play regularly before he retires.

And, the chance to play for Leeds in a promotion push must surely appeal as one last big challenge.

He has excellent work-rate but is also great on the ball and would star in a Bielsa team as well as bringing leadership qualities to this fairly young Leeds side.

Daniel Sturridge's resurgence has pushed Solanke down the pecking order at Liverpool to the extent that he now doesn't make most matchday squads.

That's a real problem for his career development and the Reds will recognise that so they may sanction a loan move and he's probably not done enough to guarantee regular football in the top-flight.

Given that, a move to the Championship could beckon and he would be a coup for Leeds.

They need another striker and with his physical abilities combined with good technique, he would be a great addition for the Whites.
