Aston Villa will look to the loan market to replace top scorer Tammy Abraham who is likely to join Wolves in the next week.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed an extremely productive loan spell with Villa in the first half of the campaign, scoring 16 goals in 20 league games.

However, parent club Chelsea have a recall clause on the player and it seems likely that they will activate that in order to send him to a Premier League side.

Clearly, that would be a massive blow for Villa and it would leave Smith with Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan as the two senior options up front.

Yet, Sky Sports claim that the West Midlands outfit will try to add more competition to the striker department by looking for a loan signing, with FFP restrictions preventing them splashing the cash.

And, here we look at TWO players that Smith needs to be targeting providing Abraham departs...

Whilst Niasse is not as prolific as Abraham, he boasts similar traits in that he can lead the line well and will give the side a presence.

He showed at Hull on a previous loan spell that he can score goals when he's given a chance and that could come at Villa Park.

With Smith likely to play one up front, Smith needs a powerful figure and Okaka would certainly provide that and he is good with his back to goal.

A rumoured move to Udinese hasn't gone through yet, so Smith needs to act quickly to convince the Italian to move to the Championship.
