Aitor Karanka has done a magnificent job in transforming Nottingham Forest since his arrival, with the Reds taking huge strides in the right direction under his leadership.

Forest are unbeaten in their last seven Sky Bet Championship fixtures, with Karanka overseeing a run of results that have really helped to pull Forest clear of the threat of relegation ahead of the run-in.

Despite that positive run, results haven’t quite been what Karanka was hoping for, with Forest recording three consecutive goalless draws heading into the international break.

Tomorrow, Forest head to Millwall, for what is one of the Championship’s more difficult away fixtures, particularly when you consider the fine run of form that Millwall find themselves on.

With that in mind, we take a look at Forest’s playing squad from before the international break and select TWO players that we believe could drop out of the starting XI this weekend in London…

Dowell’s impact at the start of the season was magnificent for Forest, with the on-loan Everton star really lighting up the Championship at times.

However, recently it just hasn’t happened for the youngster, with Karanka seemingly unimpressed with his contribution.

Karanka will want to see an improved attacking performance against Millwall, which could lead to Dowell dropping out.

It seems to be a straight battle between Brereton and Daryl Murphy for the striking role at the City Ground, although Karanka had faith with them both last time out.

However, away from home, you’d imagine that Karanka will want an extra body across midfield, which will lead to one of that striking duo dropping out.

Millwall is always a tough place to go, and Karanka might be tempted to drop Brereton and stick with the experienced Murphy.
