Norwich City continued their fantastic recent form with a 1-0 win over Brentford at Carrow Road last time out.

That result made it three wins on the bounce for Daniel Farke’s men and seven wins in nine over a longer period.

Therefore, everyone connected with the Canaries will feel that they are genuine promotion contenders this season and it’s easy to see why.

Farke has created a stylish team that have a good mix of youth and more experienced players, and they are playing with real confidence.

However, some will still wonder whether they have the ability to last the distance and January could be crucial in that sense.

It will provide the German boss to add to his squad and new faces will be pivotal if they are to keep up with the leaders in this division.

Here we look at TWO potential arrivals that would seriously help the team...

The Newcastle midfielder is not in the first-team picture under Rafa Benitez and may welcome a move, even if it’s only on loan.

He would add real energy and bite to the Canaries side which they sometimes lack and is another defensive option, alongside Alex Tettey in what is a forward-thinking midfield.

The QPR man is a top quality player at this level and would relish to play in a side that play like the Yellows do.

At his best, he would weigh in with plenty of goals and assists and Farke needs more of that from his current attacking midfielders.

The R’s would be reluctant to sell but if they aren’t capable of pushing for the top six, they may consider a good offer for the player given their financial situation.
