Leeds United were knocked off top spot on Saturday after Norwich City took all three points in the big clash at Elland Road.

The game was frenetic from the first whistle and the visitors capitalised on mistakes from the Whites to go ahead through Mario Vrancic and Teemu Pukki.

After the break, the Yorkshire side couldn't really get back into the game and Vrancic got his second late on to seal the points, although Patrick Bamford did grab a consolation.

In truth, you couldn't really argue with the result and it was a very impressive display from the Canaries who merited the victory.

However, there's also no doubt that Leeds didn't help themselves, with boss Marcelo Bielsa also making a few questionable calls.

The Argentinian deserves so much praise for his overall work this season but here we look at TWO things he got wrong on Saturday...

Not starting Kalvin Phillips

The defensive midfielder had to drop back to centre-back against Rotherham last week with Pontus Jansson suspended, but the Swede was always going to come back into the side.

Therefore, many expected Phillips to revert to his natural role in front of the back four, however, Bielsa kept faith with Adam Forshaw and it backfired spectacularly.

The Whites lost the midfield battle and they missed the aggression and intensity that Phillips would've brought to the side.

Taking off Pablo Hernandez

Nobody was surprised to see Bielsa make a double change at the break because Leeds were struggling and 2-0 down, but it was a shock to see Hernandez go off.

The classy Spaniard was ineffective, there's no getting away from that, but so were many of his teammates.

To take off the player who has combined to make and score more than any one else in the squad when you need two goals is a risky decision and it didn't work.
