It might be stretching things a little to say the pressure is on Chris Wilder, but two games and just five days into the new season, he would be the one manager maybe looking to shake things up already.

Games against Swansea and Middlesbrough didn't look easy on paper as it was, but with no points from six on the board, could he be moved to spending a bit of money before 5pm tomorrow?

Last night the Blades started with David McGoldrick and Leon Clarke up front and perhaps looked a little short of ideas.

There's every chance that Wilder was planning to make a move for a forward player anyway, but now the situation is just that little bit more pressing.

Could he be worried into over paying? Or will he remain calm and collected in his pursuit of targets?

However he approaches the situation, FLW feel he needs to wrap up these two deals before 5pm tomorrow.

Gallagher has been interesting Wilder throughout the summer and if there's anything he needs more than ever right now it is a youthful vibrancy to that creaking forward line.

Gallagher would bring that in abundance and with a huge match at QPR looming this weekend, the sooner he injects some life into that area of the pitch, the better it will be for everyone at Bramall Lane.

With Billy Sharp the other striker available to Wilder, it might be prudent to bring in two forwards tomorrow and there would be no better than Lee Gregory from Millwall.

Gregory wouldn't be the eye-catching centre forward Blades fans might want, but he is a rugged, no-nonsense player who the tough Yorkshire crowd could warm to.

He's a Sheffield lad and just like Sharp, he could become a fan favourite by virtue of his Sheffield roots. Gregory might instil some 'feel good' factor which is sadly missing after five days of the season.
