West Bromwich Albion host Swansea City on Sunday looking to extend their five-match winning run in the Championship to cement their place at the top of the table.

Slaven Bilic’s side picked up their latest victory at Preston North End on Monday night, with Charlie Austin scoring a late winner from the penalty spot to move the Baggies seven points clear of third placed Fulham heading into the weekend.

Albion picked up six points in their last two Championship matches at The Hawthorns against Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City, which saw them continue their unbeaten home record so far this campaign, but that will be tested against a Swansea side who are themselves unbeaten in their nine away games in the league.

Here then, we take a look at the TWO dilemmas facing Bilic ahead of the meeting with Swansea…

Whether to start Austin ahead of Hal Robson-Kanu

Austin came off the bench to score for the third successive match against Preston on Monday night, all of which have been crucial in helping the Baggies extend their impressive winning run – and the striker will be pushing for a recall to the starting line-up against Swansea.

However, that would mean that Bilic would likely have to drop Robson-Kanu back to the bench, which would be harsh on the forward given he himself has made a real impression during the last few weeks, with the Welshman scoring five goals in eight matches.

The fact that Bilic even has this headache will be welcome, given that a few months ago both Austin and Robson-Kanu were struggling to find any form in front of goal this term, and with the hectic festive period coming up the Baggies could decide to rotate between the pair to keep both players fresh.

How to get West Brom keeping clean sheets at home

West Brom picked up an impressive fourth consecutive away win and clean sheet against Preston last time out, with Sam Johnstone offered real protection from the Baggies’ back four and making some crucial interventions to prevent the hosts from converting any of their chances.

In contrast, Albion have found clean sheets a lot harder to come by at home this campaign, having shipped 14 goals in the Championship on their own patch.

Despite that though Bilic’s side remain unbeaten at The Hawthorns in the league, but were West Brom to improve their defensive record, then they would have a real chance of maintaining that unbeaten run.
