Derby County will look to end a seven game winless run when they entertain bottom of the table Sunderland at Pride Park tomorrow.

That dreadful run of form has seen Gary Rowett's men go from top two contenders to clinging onto a play-off spot and they are now just one point ahead of the chasing pack. Although, they do have a game in hand against high-flying Cardiff City.

Therefore, the game against Sunderland at home is exactly what the Rams need and Rowett will expect a win.

His players should also be fresh and raring to go, after almost three weeks without game because the Cardiff game was controversially postponed, which also allowed injured players more time to recover.

Yet, the former Birmingham boss won't forget the recent results and could shake things up for the game against the Wearside outfit.

Here we look at two players who are likely to be dropped for tomorrow's game.

The Scottish winger was handed a rare start in the East Midlands derby last time out but won't have done enough to keep his place against the Black Cats.

Kasey Palmer was on the bench against Forest but changed the game when he came on, with his ability to drive at the defence and beat players.

Those qualities will be needed against a Sunderland side that defend deep, so Anya will have to settle for a place on the bench.

Rowett is having real trouble with his forwards, with no player managing to step up and fight off the competition to become an automatic starter.

Nugent had the shirt for the past two games but failed to find the net, whilst his performances were pretty poor too. His last goal came before Christmas.

Given that, Cameron Jerome is likely to get the centre-forward position tomorrow even though he has had struggles of his own in front of goal.
