Cardiff City have been a busy club in the transfer market this summer window.

The club already have already bought in 10 new arrivals this summer, with the likes of Andy Rinomhota, Romaine Sawyers, and Callum O'Dowda, the pick of the bunch.

Indeed, the Bluebirds are surely in for a better campaign than they had last season, with the summer transfers able to come in and compliment the several talented young players that have emerged in the Welsh capital in recent times.

With so many incomings, though, others will either lose out on minutes or have to make way entirely.

With that in mind, here at FLW, we've picked out a couple of Cardiff City players that face an uncertain future with the club with the transfer window in full swing.

James Collins

One player that certainly faces an uncertain future is striker James Collins.

It was recently reported that Derby County are still pursuing a move for the 31-year-old.

The Rams are very keen to add him to their frontline, whilst Cardiff are potentially willing to allow him to leave after scoring just three goals last term.

With one year left on his current deal, too, it would come as no great surprise were Collins to depart this summer.

Max Watters

With Cardiff City having turned their attention to bringing in additions in the forward areas, Max Watters is another player that potentially faces an unclear future with the club.

This one is purely down to minutes.

Watters was out on loan at MK Dons last campaign and did well, but could only score one goal in his eight Bluebirds opportunities last term.

If the club only bring in one addition up front, Watters future should be secure, but if they bring in multiple signings, you have to question how much football the 23-year-old is going to see this season.

In that scenario, another loan move might be best.
