Tony Pulis took over at Middlesbrough after a dismal Garry Monk stint and has turned Middlesbrough into a top Championship club again.

After relegation from the Premier League, many suspected Boro would fizzle out in the Championship as they had the last time they went down.

Pulis has done an excellent job though, and looks set to lead the club to at least a play-off finish.

In a play-off game, Pulis’ experience would be a reason to never write off Boro.

He has made some excellent signings at the club, which is often a hard task at a recently relegated club.

Here, we look at two of the best.

Do you agree, or is there a player who you think is better that he has signed? Let us know in the comments section below.

Aden Flint

Aden Flint was one of best defenders in the Championship last season at Bristol City, and had a number of admirers.

Therefore, the signing by Middlesbrough was excellent, and he could play a huge part in the play-offs.

John Obi Mikel

Mikel has only been around a short time but he's making a great impact at Boro.

Pulis' side look solid with him on board and their chance heading into the run-in increases with him shielding the defence.

Come May, he could look a great, great addition.
