Chris Wilder is treated as a saviour at Bramall Lane, and perhaps rightly so.

The ex-Sheffield United player took over the Blades after a successful promotion campaign with Northampton Town - a job he couldn’t turn down.

He immediately got them promoted after six years in League One, and made them a top half Championship side, with United very unlucky to miss out on the play-offs.

This season, though, play-offs seem a certainty, and automatic promotion seem highly possible.

Here, we look at two of his best signings at Sheffield United, in what has been an excellent job.

Do you agree, or is there a player who you think is better that he has signed? Let us know in the comments section below.

Oliver Norwood

Oliver Norwood is becoming quite the promotion specialist, after being crucial in a couple of promotion winning seasons in recent years - most recently with Fulham.

He has arguably been the best midfielder in the Championship this season and could well lead a team to a promotion for the third consecutive season.

Jack O’Connell

Jack O’Connell was relatively unknown and arrived at Sheffield United on a free transfer from Brentford.

He has been a mainstay at the back for the Blades ever since and will be crucial if they are to win promotion this season.
