There's a huge season on the horizon for Mark Warburton and Nottingham Forest in the Championship.

The Reds just about survived on the final day of last season and there's thought amongst supporters down at the City Ground that things definitely need to improve this time out.

Of course, improvement starts before the football gets underway and former Brentford boss Warburton has a huge job on his shoulders transforming a team that has been underwhelming for sometime now.

There are big changes to be made in this squad and right now, thought must be with who could come in and improve the ranks ahead of an exciting season ahead.

And there's one man we at the FLW think would make a cracking addition to this Reds squad and that's £170,000-rated Conor Chaplin.

The young striker scored eight goals in 42 appearances last time out as he enjoyed a successful breakthrough season and he really endeared himself to the supporters down at Fratton Park.

He played a big role in a squad that achieved promotion from League Two and he's certainly be tipped as one to keep an eye on in the very near future. And with a wealth of young striking talent already on the books in the East Midlands, adding another young, promising striker to their ranks wouldn't be a bad thing in the slightest.

Ben Brereton and Zach Clough showed some seriously promising signs of form at times last season but it's clear that they're not the finished package just yet and some more reinforcements certainly wouldn't be a bad thing in the slightest.

Conor Chaplin is only one more season away from being another potential star in the England youth set-up and if teams wait around, they could miss out on a real bargain.
