Leeds United, appointed Thomas Christiansen as their new head coach last week, their sixth manager since May 2014.

Christiansen inherits a squad that just missed out on Championship play-off football last season, but will be looking ahead to the summer transfer window to bring in his own personnel, in the hope that he can take the club that one step further next season.

One issue that the new manager will have to sort out is if full-back Charlie Taylor is going to stay at the club or not. Whilst former manager Gary Monk was with the Yorkshire outfit, Taylor was offered a new two-year deal as his current contract expired this summer.

Still, with Premier League clubs lurking around for the youngster, it remains to be seen if he will put pen to paper on the new deal or not.

If Taylor does decide to leave the club, it leaves them short in the left fullback area, with Gaetano Berardi, Luke Ayling and Lewis Coyle the registered fullbacks.

With this in mind, the club should turn their attentions to Zeki Fryers.

The 24-year-old signed for Crystal Palace in 2014, but since joining Selhurst Park, Fryers has struggled for a run in the clubs first-team.

Spending time out on loan at Rotherham and Ipswich Town, in 2015, gave him a run of first team opportunities, but as of the end of June, he will be free to find himself a new club as Crystal Palace have chosen to release him.

With Taylor's future up in the air, the club should look at signing Fryers, as he brings with him Premier League experience, as he has played for Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur and also had a spell in Belgium with Standard Liege, so could prove to be a shrewd signing.

Rated at £1.7m by TransfermarktFryers would be quite the bargain this summer.
