Leeds United value young winger Jack Clarke at a price of £20million, as per reports from Football Insider.

The 18-year-old flourished under Marcelo Bielsa for the Whites last season, and after making huge impacts from off the bench, he was then rewarded with a regular place in the starting line-up.

Following the conclusion of the 2018/19 campaign, Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with Clarke's signature, as Mauricio Pochettino looks to find the next Dele Alli.

Former Leeds man Noel Whelan has revealed to Football Insider that Leeds are in "constant talks" with Spurs over a potential deal for Clarke, and the same report claims that they value him at a price of around £20million.

With two years left on his deal at Elland Road, Leeds have every right to hold out for a large amount of money, should Clarke depart the club this summer.

But here, we discuss whether £20million is the right price for Clarke...

George Harbey

"Even in today's market, that's too much for Clarke.

"He was superb for Leeds in around the New Year time, giving them a real boost down the flanks when he came off the bench.

"But I don't think he's ready for such a step up yet, as let's face it, he's hardly going to play for Spurs for a good few years at least.

"In a way, you can't really blame Leeds for demanding that much for him."

Gary Hutchinson

"No, it’s too much.

"He’s had a decent season, but that’s silly money. What has he proven, in real terms?

"Has he changed games? Has he dragged them forward? Does he have a mountain of assists and goals?

"He shouldn't be touted at a big fee; the pressure can suffocate a player."

Jacob Potter

"In today's market, it's spot on.

"Clarke is a player with a bright future ahead of him, if his cameo appearances for Leeds are anything to go by.

"If you're attracting interest from the likes of Man City and Spurs in the past, then you've got to have something about you.

"I can see a club paying that asking price though, which will come as a frustration to Leeds."

Toby Wilding

"At the minute no.

"Clarke hasn't really gained enough experience or shown the sort of quality needed to meet the sort of valuation that is currently being touted for the 18-year-old.

"That being said, Clarke clearly has potential, and losing him now could therefore cost Leeds in the future should he develop into a top class player, so you can understand why they are keen to get that sort of amount for the player."

Ben Lang

"I think it's a fair price for one of Leeds' brightest young talents.

"His form somewhat dipped towards the end of last season but I think injuries had a huge bearing on this. His performances earlier in the season prove the quality he already has on the wing.

"I think Leeds have every right to ask for this fee, particularly because Spurs are the main club in for him. They will be looking to invest this summer now that the stadium is complete and they are likely to be able to afford this fee."
