Birmingham City's fears of relegation were worsened last weekend when they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat away at fierce rivals Aston Villa.

The Villains took all three points from the Second City derby, leaving Harry Redknapp's Birmingham City just two points above the drop zone with two games left to play.

And now the Blues have been hit with yet another blow to their survival ambitions as experienced defender Paul Robinson has been suspended.

The Football Association have hit him with a three game suspension for violent conduct following an off the ball incident shortly after Gabby Agbonlahor's winner, where Robinson appeared to hit out at James Chester with a kick and a punch.

The match officials missed it but it was captured on video and Aston Villa owner Dr Tony Xia highlighted it on Twitter.

Here are how Birmingham City fans reacted to this Paul Robinson suspension news on Twitter.
