Reading midfielder Michael Olise has signed a three-year professional contract at the Madejski Stadium, the club has confirmed.

The 17-year-old put pen to paper on the fresh deal while in Spain during first team's pre-season training camp, after he delivered a run of impressive performances in the second half of last season.

Olise was handed his senior debut by Royals' boss Jose Manuel Gomes during the club's match against Leeds United back in March, while he made his first start against Stoke City later that month.

He spent the summer with France's Under-18 squad for the Toulon tournament, but he has now re-joined his Reading teammates ahead of the new season.
