Bristol City are being linked with another striker today, as Barnsley striker Cauley Woodrow could be set for a return to Ashton Gate this January.

Reported by The Daily Mirror, the 25-year-old would cost £7 million if the Robins were going to try and bring the striker back down south as they search for a new striker this transfer window.

While on loan in the 2017-2018 season, the striker netted two in 15 appearances.

The club have been on the hunt for a striker for the past few months, as loanee Benik Afobe ruptured his Anterior Crucitate Ligament during training.

Despite manager Lee Johnson bringing in former Sheffield Wednesday striker Rodri on a short-term contract, he has failed to impress at Ashton Gate and is set to leave the club when his contract expires next month.

The club are thought to have made a formal offer for Slovan Bratislava striker Andraz Sporar, who has already netted 20 goals in all competitions this season, as they continue to scout Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah and Motherwell forward James Scott.

With Antoine Semenyo set for a loan move away, the Robins are looking for another striker who can come in and provide additional squad depth to Famara Diedhiou and Andreas Weimann.
