Leeds United have endured a difficult run of form in recent months, but victory on Sunday over play-off rivals Middlesbrough was billed by some fans as the turning point the club had so desperately seeked.

A tough trip to Wolves awaited however, and Leeds failed to rise to the challenge of the league leaders, falling to a heavy 4-1 defeat.

The loss was the Whites’ eighth of the season from just eighteen league fixtures, with boss Thomas Christiansen coming under increasing pressure following the lacklustre display at Molineux.

The Dane may be forgiven for the loss however, with the hosts clear favourites, and matters not helped by midfielder Ronaldo Viera’s red card, which came minutes after winger Ezgjan Alioski had halved the deficit in the West Midlands.

A worrying stat emerged in the wake of the game however, with journalist Chris Taylor revealing on Twitter that Leeds are the only side in the entire Football League yet to win a single point from a losing position.
