It's taken time for the players to bed down, but perhaps Nottingham Forest fans have finally seen a glimpse of what the future holds for them.

In truth, their 2-1 victory against Sheffield Wednesday was far more comfortable than the score line suggests, but one moment of magic has overshadowed the result in the eyes of some fans.

The wonderful goal by Joao Carvalho, a £13.2m summer arrival, lit up the City Ground. His smart one two with Ben Osborn resulted in a terrific curling shot that had Cameron Dawson grasping at thin air.

Carvalho is one of the players of which a lot is expected, but this was one of the first solid signs of the wonderful talent that has brought him to these shores.

Fans were quick to praise his effort, calling it a Champions League goal, not a Championship strike. Some said it deserved to win the three points all on it's own.

It would be hard to disagree. Here's what a selection of Forest supporters had to say about it.
