With things going well for West Brom on the pitch, Baggies fans will be hoping that the club continue their unbeaten start to this Championship season, with Slaven Bilic's men having picked up three wins and four draws in their opening seven games this season. 

However a spanner may have just been thrown in the works for the Baggies, with the Midlands club's Twitter account confirming that under 23's manager Michael Appleton has today departed the Hawthorns to take up the managerial reins at League One club Lincoln City, who have been looking to appoint a new manager since the departure of Danny Cowley to Huddersfield.

Appleton had only been in the role since August this year, with the club seemingly delighted at the appointment of their former player, with Appleton returning to the club for his third spell, having previously formed part of the Baggies' coaching team under caretaker manager Jimmy Shan at the back end of last season.
