Nottingham Forest picked up a vital win against Brentford this afternoon that meant they didn't lose any ground in the race for the play-offs.

Martin O'Neill's side know they have to put together a strong run if they are to make the top six and they made it back-to-back home wins with a 2-1 success over the Bees.

Lewis Grabban, who was recalled into the starting XI, gave Forest the lead in the first-half before missing a penalty later on.

In the end, it was new signing Molla Wague who sealed the points with a header from a corner but Sergi Canos struck late on to set up a nervy finish.

That didn't tell the whole story though, with the visitors dominating possession throughout and having most of the territory.

But, Forest fought for the win and remain five points behind the top six.
