Sheffield Wednesday's first game with Tony Pulis in charge didn't exactly go to plan.

The Owls were hamstrung from early on as Josh Windass was sent off in the 17th minute for a high, dangerous challenge on Preston North End's Joe Rafferty.

That meant they had to play for over an hour with a man less than the Lilywhites, and there was always the chance it wasn't going to end well.

Tom Barkhuizen gave Preston the lead just a few minutes into the second half with a left-footed effort, which ended up being the only goal of the game.

But it was the decision making of one Wednesday player that left fans questioning them.

It was a punch of the ball from Keiren Westwood that was directed straight into the path of Barkhuizen to open the scoring, when it seemed like he could've caught the cross.

Westwood has only just returned from the wilderness having been frozen out of the squad by previous manager Garry Monk.

Today was Westwood's first match in almost a full calendar year, and you could say he was perhaps carrying some rustiness judging by the events that led to the goal.

Let's see how Owls fans reacted to the key moment in the game.
