‘That was amazing’ – Sheffield Wednesday fans laud return to fitness of key man

Sheffield Wednesday finally gave their fans something to smile about this season as they demolished a sorry looking Preston North End 4-1 at Hillsborough this afternoon.

Two goals from Adthe Nuhiu, one from Lucas Joao, and a late free kick from a returning Fernando Forestieri were enough to hand the hosts all three points and the Owls can now safely put to bed any lingering relegation fears some fans might have still been holding.

It was the late goal from Forestieri though that put the icing on the cake, with the little forward making his return to the first team squad and coming off the bench for the first time in months after missing much of the season with injury.

He curled home over the wall in the dying embers of the game to send the Hillsborough crowd home happy, and many took to Twitter following the game to praise their returning hero and give their thoughts on what this could mean for the club for the rest of the season.

We at FLW were on hand to delve a little deeper into the comments….
