Blackburn know they face a battle to keep hold of star man Bradley Dack after his fine season in the Championship.

The attacking midfielder scored 15 goals for Rovers and the Daily Mail have revealed that West Ham and Crystal Palace have been monitoring the player ahead of a potential summer move.

However, they also state that the two top-flight outfits aren't willing to pay the £18m that Blackburn are demanding for the 25-year-old.

So, is that excessive? Or is it the right price when you consider what Championship players have gone for in the past?

Here our writers share their thoughts...

George Brooks

"Not for me. There is no denying that Dack is a talented player and he has done well for Blackburn over the past couple of seasons.

"I can't see either West Ham or Crystal Palace paying £18million for a player who has only played one season at Championship level though.

"This is good news for Blackburn, as Dack is an important player for the club and they will be keen to keep hold of him."

Gary Hutchinson

"It’s not gone up since last summer, so yes.

"He had a decent season, but the second half he wasn’t quite as good.

"He’s a talent though, so that seems fair, especially as Brereton cost them £7m!"

George Harbey

"You’ve got to say that it’s the right price.

"Dack had an incredible first-half of the season, and despite going somewhat under the radar in the second-half of the campaign, he is easily one of the best players in the Championship.

"For a player of his age and his quality, £18million is about right."

Ben Lang

"It does seem steep, but that is not unusual in today's market.

"It all depends on what Dack is worth to Rovers, and if they see his importance as being worth £18million then that makes it fair.

"I can't see clubs wanting to pay that fee for him, but Rovers won't mind that if they do not need to sell."
