Adding John Swift to the club earlier in the window, West Brom managed to secure the services of another creative talent in Jed Wallace last week.

The 28-year-old, who emerged as a talismanic figure at Millwall over the last couple of seasons, signed a four-year deal at The Hawthorns, with the Baggies winning a competitive race for his signature.

Automatic promotion will be the target for the Baggies as the new season edges closer, with Steve Bruce eager to continue building a squad that can achieve that.

Delivering his verdict on Wallace's addition at the Midlands club, Carlton Palmer told FLW"It's brilliant for West Brom, that he's not only gone there but chose to go and work under Steve Bruce.

"So, that says a lot about what the club's ambitions are, and the fact that Steve was able to attract him to come to the club with a host of other clubs interested in his services.

"So, it's great news for West Brom that, really good news."

The verdict

Having Swift and Wallace in the same team next season will be massive for the Baggies, with Daryl Dike and Karlan Grant likely to be bolstered massively by the arrivals of the creative duo.

Wallace, who undoubtedly possesses enough quality to help fire West Brom into the automatic promotion conversation when the new campaign starts, can operate in several different roles, so it will be interesting to see what Bruce has planned for him when the new season comes around.

Reportedly looking to add Tom Lawrence to the squad too, there is no reason why West Brom should lack creativity in the new season.
