Luton Town have agreed a six-figure fee with National League side Hartlepool United to sign highly-rated right-back Peter Kioso, according to TEAMtalk.

A number of EFL clubs have reportedly been pursuing Kioso's signature this month, but it is understood that the Hatters have won the race to sign the 20-year-old who is now due at Kenilworth Road for a medical before completing his move.

Kioso has impressed during his 70 appearances for Hartlepool since joining the club from Dunstable in the summer of 2018, and the non-league outfit are now set to cash in on the athletic full-back before his contract expires this coming summer.

The former MK Dons trainee now looks set to become Graeme Jones' first signing of the month for the Hatters, with the Kenilworth Road outfit looking to strengthen their squad ahead of their survival bid in the second half of the campaign.
