Mark Beevers has become the latest player to confirm his departure from Bolton following their relegation to League One, after Peterborough United confirmed the arrival of the defender as their first signing of the summer transfer window.

Beevers, who made 132 appearances and scored 12 goals in all competitions during three seasons at The University of Bolton Stadium, has joined Peterborough on a three year contract, which is due to start on the 1st July.

The 29-year-old is one of a number of players who look set to leave Bolton over the summer following the off the field issues around, with right back Pawel Olkowski and winger Sammy Ameobi both having handed in their notices at the club over the issue of unpaid wages.

Taking to Twitter to react to news of Beevers' departure, a number of Bolton fans appeared to have mixed opinions on the defender.

Some appeared not having forgiven him for his part in a squad boycott that led to the cancellation of the club's home game against Brentford, for which the club could now face further punishment, while others expressed their appreciation for his contribution to the club.

Here are some of the best of those reactions.
