‘Thanks for the memories’ – Plenty of Millwall fans react to star’s parting message

As he prepares to leave Millwall after a five-year stay with the club, Lee Gregory has issued a message to fans ahead of his imminent departure from the Den.

The 30-year-old signed for the Lions from Halifax in 2014, and has since gone on to make over 230 appearances for the London club, scoring 77 goals in all competitions.

But, with his current deal with the club set to expire at the end of the season, it has been announced that Gregory, who ended up as the club’s top-scorer with 13 goals last term, will leave the Den in the summer.


Stoke City are believed to be a team firmly in the driving seat in the race to sign Gregory, who will be available to sign on a free transfer in the summer.

Before making the potential switch to the bet365 Stadium, though, the striker took to his Twitter page to issue a parting message to Millwall fans, thanking them for their support over the last five years.
