Plenty of Derby County fans have reacted to a message from Jody Morris on social media, after his decision to leave the club to join Chelsea alongside manager Frank Lampard.

Derby confirmed today that Lampard has left the club to become the next manager at Stamford Bridge, after he was given permission to speak to his former club last week.

Assistant manager Morris has also decided to leave Pride Park and will join Lampard's coaching staff at Chelsea, along with Derby first-team coach Chris Jones.

Morris posted this photo on his personal

/?hl=en">Instagram account, adding a touching message to Derby fans, thanking them for their continued support throughout his time at Pride Park.

Derby had hoped to keep hold of Lampard and opened talks with the manager over extending his contract at Pride Park last month, but he was given permission to hold talks with Chelsea last week.

Morris left his role as a youth coach at Chelsea last summer to assist Lampard at Pride Park and together they were able to guide the Derby to the Championship play-off final last season.

Plenty of Derby fans have reacted to Morris' heartfelt message on social media, thanking him for what he achieved at the club and wishing him all the best for his future at Chelsea.

Here is a look at the best reactions to the post from Derby fans on Instagram...

the_yorkshire_pedant All the very best of luck at Chelsea, Jody. I think the vast, vast majority of Rams fans completely understand the whys and wherefores around your move to the Bridge. Thanks for the memories...Old Trafford, Elland Road, Carrow Road... matches I won't forget. And thanks for such a genuine, heartfelt departure message. I really hope you and Frank have ever success at Stamford Bridge, and I'm sure you'll get a great reception when Chelsea visit Pride Park when the Rams join you in the Prem in 2020/21!

ellebiggerstaff Deeply genuine message from you, you’ve even learnt all these little words about the city! Thank you for lighting up this club again, after so much gloom, and I’m happy that both of yours got the job, it was just unfortunate how the media dragged this out, out of your hands. But yeah, thank you for giving so much into this club, and I’m sure we, as fans, will follow your progress at Chelsea. Continue to be a little pocket rocket, and we will see you back at Wembley where you’ll be with us in the crowd for another play off final? much love lad, much love
