Derby County right-back Jayden Bogle has hinted on Instagram that he is close to returning for the Rams, which has drawn some excited responses from many fans of the club.

The 19-year-old has been missing since picking up an ankle injury against Swansea City in the second Championship game of the season.

A product of the Rams' academy, Bogle was handed his debut by Frank Lampard last season and has become an integral part of the side.

The defender made 50 appearances for Derby last season and contributed nine assists, the most of any player in the Rams squad and of any full-back or teenager in the Championship.

With Bogle in the side, Derby picked up a win and a draw in their first two games of the season but are yet to win in the league without him and have slumped to 19th in the table.

It seems as though the teenager is close to a return, however, as he posted an image of himself in training yesterday with the caption “not long now”.

It will be interesting to see whether the 19-year-old is brought back in for Derby's trip to top-of-the-table Leeds United on Saturday.

Unsurprisingly, Bogle’s post went down well with large parts of the Pride Park faithful, with many fans expressing their excitement on Instagram.
