Derby County are believed to be holding talks with American billionaire Michael Dell over a potential takeover of the club according to The Telegraph.

That name will be recognised by Sunderland supporters, with Dell previously being linked with a potential takeover at the Stadium of Light.

But any reported agreement fell through, with the club's chairman Stewart Donald reportedly valuing any potential deal in the region of $52million.

The Black Cats are currently sat seventh in the League One table, and will be hoping they can win a timely promotion back into the Championship under the guidance of Phil Parkinson.

Plenty of Sunderland supporters were quick to respond to this emerging potential takeover report involving Dell and Derby, with plenty of them criticising Donald's decision not to sell the club.

Take a look at the best of the reaction from the 'Sunderland AFC Fans Group' on Facebook below....

Stephen Scott: "Donald wants whats best for him and not the club. Simple as that."

Keith Parker: "Unfortunately we got the owners that no other club wanted. A chancer and wheeler and dealer and a conman."

Gavin Leng: "Fans wanted Donald out. Dell wanted to invest in SD running the club. Why people blaming SD?"

Craig Robertson: "It’s cause he’s selling up! They only wanted to invest in him."

Kieran Chivers: "You hate Stewart Donald because the fans made him look for a buyer which scared Micheal Dell off?"

Glen Proctor: "Fans asked him to sell up, why would anybody invest in a club which is being sold?"

Paul Days: "Thats clearly terrible news - if it goes through - and will show that Donald has, as some suspected, been asking way too much for a club marooned in the third tier of English football."

David Patterson: "Fans need to take responsibility for this."
